Where can I find Facebook watch history?

Facebook Watch allows users to view videos posted by friends, Pages they follow, and creators they subscribe to. Much like YouTube, Facebook Watch has a browsing and search function that allows you to find new videos to watch. It also keeps track of the videos you have previously watched in your Watch History. Accessing your Facebook Watch history can help you pick up where you left off on a video, or find a video you previously watched and want to see again. Here are some tips on how to view your Facebook Watch history.

Locating Your Facebook Watch History

Your Facebook Watch history is located within the Watch tab on both desktop and mobile. On desktop, simply click on the Watch tab in the left sidebar and your watch history will display on the browse page. On mobile, tap on the Watch icon at the bottom to access your history. Your most recently watched videos will be shown at the top of the browse page or feed.

Accessing Full Watch History

To see your full watch history on Facebook:

On Desktop:

  • Click on the Watch tab in the left sidebar
  • Scroll down and click on “More” below your recent watches
  • This will open your full watch history page showing all videos you’ve watched

On Mobile:

  • Tap on the Watch icon at the bottom
  • Scroll down and tap on “More” below your recent watches
  • This will open your full watch history feed

Your full watch history page shows all videos you’ve watched on Facebook in reverse chronological order, with your most recent watches at the top.

Clearing Your Watch History

If you want to delete your Facebook Watch history:

On Desktop:

  • Click on the Watch tab in the left sidebar
  • Click on the 3-dot settings icon in the top right corner
  • Select “Clear Watch History”
  • Confirm that you want to clear your entire history

On Mobile:

  • Tap your profile picture in the bottom right
  • Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings
  • Tap on “Videos”
  • Tap on “Clear Watch History”
  • Confirm that you want to clear your entire history

Clearing your watch history will delete your full history and remove all videos from your continued watch and recent watches. This can be useful if your watch history has become cluttered or you don’t want certain videos showing up in your recent watches.

Pausing Your Watch History

Instead of completely clearing your history, you also have the option to pause your Facebook Watch history:

On Desktop:

  • Click on the Watch tab in the left sidebar
  • Click on the 3-dot settings icon in the top right corner
  • Toggle the switch next to “Pause Watch History”

On Mobile:

  • Tap your profile picture in the bottom right
  • Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings
  • Tap on “Videos”
  • Toggle the switch next to “Pause Watch History”

Pausing your watch history will prevent any new videos you watch from being added to your history. Existing watch history will remain visible until you clear it manually. This can be useful if you want to browse videos privately without keeping track of what you’re watching.
