Saved reels on iphone?

Instagram Reels that you have liked or saved can be easily accessed from your iPhone by going to your profile and tapping the bookmark icon. This will show you all your saved Reels in one place for easy viewing.

Where to Find Saved Reels

Instagram doesn’t have a dedicated section in the app for viewing your saved Reels. Instead, you need to access them through your profile.

To find your saved Reels on an iPhone:

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to your profile by tapping the person icon in the bottom right.
  2. At the top of your profile, tap the bookmark icon next to the edit profile button.
  3. This will open up a tab showing all your saved posts. Any Reels you have liked or saved will be in this section.

This tab houses all your bookmarked content including posts, videos and Reels that you have liked. It works just like the save feature on any other social media platform.

You can scroll through to find Reels you have saved. Tap on any Reel to view it again.

Saving Reels

Wondering how to save Reels in the first place so they show up in your saved content? It’s easy to do.

While viewing a Reel, tap the bookmark icon in the bottom right. This adds that Reel to your saved collection.

You can also save a Reel while scrolling through your feed. Press and hold on a Reel until a menu pops up. Tap the bookmark icon to save it.

Organizing and Managing Saved Reels

Unfortunately, there is no way to organize or manage your saved Reels within the Instagram app. All your saved content sits in one continuous feed.

You cannot create albums, categorize or sort saved Reels. The only organization option is to unsave posts you no longer want.

To remove a saved Reel:

  1. Go to your saved content tab in your profile.
  2. Tap the bookmark icon on any Reel you want to unsave.
  3. This will remove it from your collection.

Saving Reels Privately

One thing to note is that your saved collection on Instagram is public. Anyone who visits your profile can see everything you have saved.

If you want to save Reels privately, you have a couple options:

  • Use a third-party Instagram saver app that lets you download Reels directly to your camera roll. This keeps them private.
  • Screen record Reels you want to save and the video will go to your camera roll for private viewing.

Sharing and Reposting From Saved Reels

From your saved Reels collection, you can easily share them to stories or messages, or repost them to your own profile feed.

To share a saved Reel:

  1. Open your saved tab and tap on the Reel you want to share.
  2. Tap the arrow icon in the bottom right corner.
  3. Select where you want to share the Reel – add it to your story, send directly to friends, or post it to your own feed.

Limitations of Saved Reels

While having all your saved Reels in one place is convenient, there are some limitations to be aware of:

  • You cannot download or export saved Reels out of the app.
  • There is no search function to find specific Reels.
  • Reels auto-play continuously – no way to pause or view individually.
  • No options for managing, album creation or organization tools.

Hopefully Instagram will add more tools for managing and working with your saved Reels in the future. But for now, the feature is fairly barebones.

Finding Reels You’re Tagged In

If someone tags you in a Reel, there are a couple ways to find it on your iPhone.

In your profile, beneath your bio there is a Tagged tab. Any Reels you have been tagged in will show up here mixed in with posts.

You will also get a notification if you are tagged in a Reel, and you can go directly to it from there. Lastly, it may also appear in the Reels feed on the Explore page.

Storing Reels Long-Term

One issue with relying on Instagram to store your saved Reels is that content can disappear. If the original creator deletes a Reel you have saved, it will vanish from your collection.

For this reason, you may want to download Reels you want to keep long-term:

  • Screen record a Reel and the video file will save to your camera roll.
  • Use a third party app to download Reels directly.
  • Copy and paste the Reel URL to a note or document to save as a bookmark.

Finding Older Saved Reels

As your Instagram saved collection grows, locating an older Reel can get tricky. Unfortunately there is no search function or filtering options.

Your only option is to continuously scroll through your entire saved feed to try and locate it. This can be time consuming.

Using an outside downloading or bookmarking method as mentioned above can make finding older Reels much easier later on.

Clearing All Saved Reels

If your saved collection is getting cluttered, you may want to clear it all and start fresh. Here is how to remove all saved Reels at once:

  1. Go to your profile and saved collection.
  2. Tap the three dot menu in the top right corner.
  3. Select Clear All to remove all saved posts including Reels.

This will completely wipe your saved content tab in your profile. Be certain before clearing them all, as they cannot be recovered.

Troubleshooting Issues With Saved Reels

Here are some common problems that can occur with Instagram saved Reels and how to fix them:

  • Missing Reels – If a saved Reel seems to have disappeared, the creator likely deleted it from their profile. There is no way to recover deleted Reels.
  • Not Saving – If the bookmark icon is greyed out, make sure you are updated to the latest version of the Instagram app.
  • Can’t Share – You may see an error when trying to share a saved Reel. Make sure you have the latest update of the app and check your internet connection.

For additional troubleshooting, also try force quitting the app, clearing the cache, or reinstalling Instagram to resolve bugs with saved Reels.

Summary

Having a collection of your saved Reels in one place makes it easy to access and share your favorite Reels. While the saved feature has limited tools for organizing and managing Reels, it’s a useful way to bookmark Reels you want to keep on iPhone.
